Change in Two Umpire Positioning

As Softball Canada adopts ISF mechanics (positioning and rotations) subtle differences must be noted and adopted into practice.

Effective immediately, please instruct at all clinics and inform your umpire community of the following:

2 Umpire System - Fast Pitch only: Plate umpires will always move to the 3rd base side of the diamond between innings. This 3rd base position is the accepted ISF position.

Note: The ISF is currently developing new Slow Pitch specific positioning and rotations. We will continue to use the existing Softball Canada Slo-Pitch mechanics until such time as this process is complete.
